Templates - how to build a template layout

The template is the layout that surrounds the content of your page.  The template usually consists of the header / logo, the footer, navigation etc.

When you create a template for a page, you're basically creating the 'wrapper' that surrounds everything on that page.  One of the advantages of using the SiteGIDGET Website Builder, is that you will be able to apply templates to separate pages.  There's no limit to the amount of templates that can be created for your Website.  This makes your Website entirely unique.

Another advantage of creating templates, will be that all of the regions within that template can be easily changed by going to 'Page Mode', and choosing to change any of the regions of the template. As an example, If you would like to change the header, you would simply click the header link on the left hand side of the application.  Make your changes to the image and update.  There are more details of the editing templates later in the lessons.
